Based in Tamworth in the UK, Martin Reynolds takes influence from the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones to create his own unique brand of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
A heartfelt combination of sixties power pop and unflinchingly sincere lyrics, Martin’s debut album “Where There’s Hope” (2021) was described by Counteract magazine as ‘a tonic’ for uncertain times. As well as catching the attention of BBC Radio Derby, BBC Radio WM, BBC Music Introducing Coventry and Warwickshire and BBC Music Introducing in the West Midlands on more than one occasion, who went on to describe debut single 'Strange Days Indeed' (2020) as "The song of lockdown".
Martin alongside his live band The Minor Detours, has since gone on to perform at Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival, Worcester Music Festival, Villa Park - the home of Aston Villa football club, as well as supporting Legendary acts such as Brian Downey of Thin Lizzy, Edgar Broughton of the Edgar Broughton band and Jim White.
2024 saw Martin release his single “Here Before”. 2025 will see Martin and his band The Minor Detours waste no time with the release of a brand new single titled “Why Do I?” on January 31st.
