Marty K is a blues & rock guitarist from St Kilda, Australia. He got his start in the Melbourne underground & alternative scenes and has toured Australia with various bands. In 2011 he formed Ten Thousand and achieved some success releasing an EP and an album and playing shows around the country. He went on to record with legendary producer Lindsay Gravina (Jet, Spiderbait, The Living End) and his music has been featured on Triple J, Triple M and international radio. His music has also been featured on TV and several feature films and he received a nomination for best rock song at the Australian Independent Music awards in 2013. Marty K & The Electric Hurricanes sees him collaborating with a variety of singers, songwriters and musicians to create a sonic storm swaggering with hypnotic rhythms. His music is 'a steady moving rumble that travels resolutely on a carriage of crunchy guitars, roaming wildly and freely across the sonic landscape, complete with squalling solos and fuzzy guitars (Backseat Mafia).
