Masayume BERRY is an Italian singer-songwriter inspired by Japanese idol world. She has always been passionate about Japanese culture and fantasy, and she started practicing cosplay in 2008. She discovered the idol world around 2010, with the franchise The Idolm@ster, she started performing as an idol in 2015 with different groups and started her solo career in 2019. On the same year she also founded NIIA (New Italian Idols Alliance), a community of Italian idols. She started releasing her original songs in 2020, with Japanese, Italian or English lyrics written by her. As an idol she loves to explore different musical genres and styles, but her aesthetic is mainly based on strawberries. Her mascot is a strawberry-pink beaver called Strawbeaver.
