Matai

Matai is a 17 year old artist who produces, mixes, and masters his own music. He covers a wide variety of genres while maintaining an ambient and ethereal sound. He started producing when he was 12 and began recording over his own beats in the 8th grade. He started releasing songs in late 2023 and has occasionally dropped a handful of singles. In April 2025, he dropped the 6 song EP titled “my world*”. On this EP he demonstrates his high production value alongside his improved studio quality sound. It is shown that Matai focuses on quality over quantity and has high standards for his art. With his latest single “trois gymnopedies”, Matai teases the ambient, peaceful, and tranquil sounds that will be used on his upcoming album “ethereal**”
