Matalo

Hailing from the City of Angels, Matalo began making a name for himself in the bass music scene in 2011. After serving in the military, Matalo invested himself into focusing on his true passion—music production. He studied at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona and Icon Collective in Los Angeles, honing his skill to the highest level.

A versatile producer, Matalo has transformed his sound into a hard hitting party featuring mostly Trap, Bass, and Jersey Club. He's taken these sounds to LA's top clubs including Exchange, Academy and Avalon. Matalo has provided support for artists such as San Holo, Deorro, Monxx, and Dirty South. In 2020, Matalo scored a win in Baauer's acclaimed Twitch-streamed bop battle with Mr. Carmack judging, and received support from Whipped Cream on his music.

Matalo’s multifaceted talents extend to music production, DJing, and sound engineering. As an artist, he transcends genre, fluidly merging hip hop and electronic sounds together into his own style. Gaining recognition among some of electronic music's biggest names, Matalo’s star is quickly rising.
