Mathematicians

Formed in 2003 by <a href="spotify:artist:3ItNnmbxn5mVMw9OtuKl5s" data-name="Ian Nichols">Ian Nichols</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1yMTANYakZ7sC2tn2NSaKz" data-name="Tim Oakley">Tim Oakley</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:4YwxlNQdRhwDYxBw68Jvzi" data-name="Nick LaFond">Nick LaFond</a>. The three members took on the aliases of Dewi Decimal, Albert Gorythm, and Pete Pythagoras to form the <a href="spotify:artist:1sSph4lgc4BGfJEvU16ROp" data-name="Mathematicians">Mathematicians</a>. After seven years of heavy touring, two albums, and a full length movie (“Transdimensional Odyssey of Doom”), the band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2010. There are rumors circulating about an upcoming Mathematicians’ Level Three album release.


Ian/Dewi is a singer-songwriter as <a href="spotify:artist:3ItNnmbxn5mVMw9OtuKl5s" data-name="Ian Nichols">Ian Nichols</a> and also composes ambient dungeon synth under the name <a href="spotify:artist:4YjNxjdAWGO3TYCswpVMY4" data-name="Fossergrim">Fossergrim</a>. Tim/Albert performed with <a href="spotify:artist:1l9d7B8W0IHy3LqWsxP2SH" data-name="Phantogram">Phantogram</a> for two years after Mathematicians. He is a freelance video editor and spends his free time teaching his son to shred on the drums. Nick/Pete is a standup comedian and singer-songwriter under the moniker, <a href="spotify:artist:69CHFT79fFpbDDMCqeuCEi" data-name="elfNOISE">elfNOISE</a>
