Matt Calderwood

Matthew Calderwood is a Northern Irish singer/songwriter hailing from Co. Antrim. As the 6th generation of the Calderwood family, a name steeped in ancestral heritage, music has always been a part of his life. Growing up in a 'singing' family, Matthew found his passion for music at a young age, influenced by his siblings' endeavors in Gospel music.

Despite working as a landscape gardener for many years, Matthew never let go of his dream of pursuing music. Starting with busking in his hometown of Ballymena, he quickly made a name for himself and began performing gigs across Northern Ireland and Europe.

With a focus on songwriting for the past decade, Matthew released his debut single in 2024, marking the beginning of his musical journey. What he lacks in experience he makes up in enthusiasm and dedication to reaching his potential. Music has been a healing force in his life, especially as he battled with Psoriasis and mental health struggles from a young age. Through his music, Matthew aims to inspire others to overcome their own obstacles and find strength in their vulnerabilities.
