A co-founder of Americana band The Old Part of Town, Matt has released two solo roots rock/Americana albums: No Stone Unturned, and Big Lucky, which garnered Honorable Mention for Best Album in the Mid-Atlantic Music Monthly. He has placed songs in 3 indie movies, with the most recent being 'Ape Canyon'', in 2021. A multi-instrumentalist (guitar, slide resonator, mandolin), his guitar playing style is influenced by everything from early blues/folk masters to Ry Cooder and Anders Osborne. His band The Old Part of Town released their third album 'Something Special' in 2021. A new full band release is scheduled for Sept 2023.
