Matt Muse

Matt Muse is a LA based rapper & creative director from Chicago. His new EP ‘So Far, So Decent’ was released September 19, 2023 and featured on Pitchfork’s ‘Pitchfork Selects’ playlists (Spotify & Apple Music), the Apple Music editorial ‘New Chicago’ playlist, and Lyrical Lemonade.

Through his community initiative Love & Nappyness, Matt curated and performed at the ‘Long Hair Don’t Care Show’ on December 11, 2022 at Thalia Hall Chicago. Headlined by tobi lou, the Long Hair Don’t Care Show served as a benefit concert for the Love & Nappyness Hair Care Drive’s beneficiaries. Prominent sponsors of the show were Lululemon, Diageo, Red Bull, and Semicolon Bookstore.

He collaborated with Nike Chicago in 2022 to co-create the Air Max 90 “The Art of Air” with Niki Zamora, which was featured in Nike’s flagship downtown Chicago store. Matt was also interviewed & featured in Nike’s ‘Air Shop’ campaign regarding his music career and community work with Love & Nappyness, which was published internationally on Nike's website and the Nike App in Winter 2021.
