Weeks before auditioning for college performing programs, Matt Norden did a mock audition for top academic reps. After singing “Your Eyes” from RENT, one critic uttered, “…well acting must be more your thing right?”
It was in that moment of humiliation and spiraling despair that Matt knew what he truly wanted: to be a killer musician.
Matt began taking private lessons, practiced every day and performed in every bar, restaurant, private party or farmers market that would take him. He also taught himself how to build and record in a home studio from Professor YouTube.
Not too long after, Matt was accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. He just graduated in 2021 after studying performance, songwriting and music business.
Now Matt Norden is a singer-songwriter who’s striving to bend the mold; generally Matt creates Rock-Pop music, but loves to experiment with genres to keep fans on their toes. Above all else, what sets him apart are his colorful, mesmerizing lyrics. It’s his poetic nature that both distinguishes him from modern artists and reels in fans for life.
Matt has now released 12 songs, played 70+ live shows and recently played guitar on Amorphous’ track “Back Together” featuring Kehlani.
