Matt Paxton is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Hamilton, Ontario. In his early twenties, Paxton was already building up a sizable repertoire of folk rock and alt-country standards, playing shows across Canada, gaining a reputation as one of the countries promising up and coming singer-songwriters. Paxton has now released five albums, as well as a hatful of singles and EPs, sharing the stage with Blackie & The Rodeo Kings, Justin Rutledge, Irish Mythen, Jeremie Albino & the Rosehall Band, and many more. Across his releases, Paxton wears his heart on his sleeve, delving into themes of love, loss, and self-reflection. He is currently recording a new album in Hamilton with producer Tim Allard of the Redhill Valleys. Paxton has been actively recording and playing shows around Southern Ontario as of late with his backing band, the Pintos - featuring Chris Altmann on pedal steel, Carrie Clark on bass, and Robin Pirson on drums.
