Glenrock, NJ’s <a href="spotify:artist:00hgDE113euRrneQug8LV7" data-name="Matt Roy">Matt Roy</a> began playing guitar at the age of 8 &amp; was already performing on stage by age 12. In 2021, Matt landed his first multi-week No.1 single with <a href="spotify:artist:60gmlHZmT16wiO9GiXKYK9" data-name="Chris Janson">Chris Janson</a>&#39;s “<a href="spotify:track:693NFnfJZt16AFDaZqlflo" data-name="Done">Done</a>”, was named one of MusicRow&#39;s Top 100 Songwriters &amp; won his 1st BMI songwriting award - Roy has established himself as one of Nashville&#39;s top emerging songwriters. 2022, Matt sought out to establish himself as an emerging artist &amp; released his highly praised/debut EP &#34;Wildflower” including the standout song &#34;<a href="spotify:track:58ecPv0XoQ0nO0Fh9ZEp8N" data-name="Morning In New Orleans">Morning In New Orleans</a>&#34;. Roy followed up his EP with a single titled &#34;<a href="spotify:track:1kxqCDV9KkkuI7cOgBOmkJ" data-name="Marlboro Man">Marlboro Man</a>&#34; to close the year. Due to an increasing audience &amp; online reaction, “Marlboro Man” has become Matt’s biggest single, racking up over 5 million cumulative streams since its release.

“Songwriting is really important for me &amp; as a new artist I think it’s just as important for me to tell the story.” Matt has not only responded to his increased audience with a brand new single title “Mary &amp; Me” in which he is the sole writer - but also a slew of brand new music that includes several others just like it.
