Matt Tandy is an Australian blues and roots musician from Mackay, Queensland, blending folk-inspired storytelling with the gritty energy of dirty blues. A multi-instrumentalist and soulful vocalist, Matt’s sound draws on influences as varied as the hill country blues pioneers R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough, to legends like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and Rodriguez.
Matt spent years traveling and honing his craft, immersing himself in music wherever he went. In recent years, he has worked hard, performing at venues and festivals, building a reputation for his authentic and captivating live shows.
With the release of his debut EP, Bannister Street, Matt shares a personal collection of songs drawn from his life and those around him. Dedicated to his late mother, grandfather, and dear friend David Seabrooke, the EP is a heartfelt tribute and a testament to Matt’s ability to blend passion, soul, and storytelling into every track.
