Matt Williams, a versatile musician from Coastal Georgia, honed his craft through teaching multiple instruments at a local music store, where he absorbed the nuances of various genres brought in by his students—ranging from pop and R&B to Motown, funk, blues, jazz, and reggae. With a passion for live performance, he showcased his skills on guitar, drums, and bass in numerous bands, while also exploring multi-instrument live looping.
Over the past decade, Williams devoted himself to mastering music production, eventually working with a diverse range of artists such as Cas Haley, Satsang, Tubby Love, Amber Lily, Dustin Thomas, and more. In 2022, he unveiled his debut solo instrumental album, “CHOICES,” followed by his sophomore release, “GREYLESS,” in January 2023.
In the spring of 2024, Williams released Drift, an EP of LoFi tracks, in partnership with High Vibe Records, showcasing his distinctive sonic vision.
Looking ahead to 2025, he plans to release another full-length instrumental album while continuing to collaborate on projects with fellow artists.
