Matteo Floris

Matteo Floris is a self-taught guitarist and songwriter, expressing his creativity through the acoustic guitar. His passion for music and curiosity have led him to explore various music genres over the years. His main sources of inspiration stem from the music of the 70s and the 90s, with notable influences being Syd Barrett, Kurt Cobain, and John Frusciante, among others.

Starting to play the guitar 10 years ago, Matteo initially covered songs before finding the inspiration and motivation to write his own music. In October 2023, he released his debut single “Try Again,” and he aims to release a full album by end of 2024.

In his songwriting process, he channels his emotions using the principles of music theory and combines them with lyrics that complement the mood and feelings experienced during that particular moment. Most of his music is self-produced, resulting in a distinctive “Lofi” sound.
