Matthew Gibson

Matthew Gibson is a R&B Singer/Songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina. Over the years his smooth vocals and soulful tunes filled with deep life lessons have moved thousands of people. Whether young or old, audiences can connect with Matthew because he draws inspiration from his personal experiences, and the lives of family and friends. His music has a level of honesty and depth that stands out in the entertainment industry today.

At the age of 18, Matthew released his debut album "Changes" which was well received throughout the Carolinas. Interest in his brand continued to grow and this led to his selection as a finalist in a televised singing competition called: “Gimme the Mic! Charlotte”.  Shortly after, various opportunities to pursue music on a larger platform presented themselves. However, Matthew had other volunteer and humanitarian efforts that he wanted the freedom to pursue, so he decided to continue writing, performing, and producing music independently.

While traveling and engaging in various volunteer efforts, Matthew has learned many life lessons. His Sophmore Album, “Tomorrow's Open,” is a reflection of that. For the last 10 years, starting in New York and ending in his personal recording studio in Charlotte, Matthew has written and recorded the vocals for each song. This 11 track collection is a journey inspired by life lessons that can help you overcome trials with  optimism and positivity. The past is written, but "Tomorrow's Open".
