Matthew Kenneth Gray (Matt) was born in Watsonville, California and is a direct descendant of Spanish families (Amesti/Pinto) who came to America for a better life and settled in the Pajaro Valley.
Matt started writing verse poetry early at Watsonville High School, then eventually met friends who wrote songs and switched his focus to writing lyrics to collaborate with them.
He lives in the Midwest with his family and works on new lyrics regularly.
