The Italian musician, DJ, and producer Mattia Romio, known as Matthew Sax, after several years of study at the Conservatory, dedicated himself to the creation of electronic music. Thanks to his energetic sound, where electronic beats and bass perfectly blend with his style, he quickly won the love of club audiences and gained recognition from influential peers such as Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Kryder, Jude & Frank, Moti, Nicola Fasano, Botteghi, Rudeejay, Angemi, and many others... His tracks have been included in their sets and mix shows.
Thanks to numerous supports, the artist has raised his skill level and secured significant record deals with labels such as Saifam, Time Record, Zero Cool, and Blanco y Negro. With Cumbia Flute (Zero Cool), the artist reached the 8th position on the global Hype Chart on Beatport.
Since 2022, once a month, Matthew Sax has been broadcasting on Radio Ibiza, one of the most important international radio stations in the world of dance music.
2025 is starting off strong for Matthew, as he signs a collaboration with Botteghi and ATCG for a record due for release in April on D:Vision. He also has a release on Under The Radar, Roger Sanchez label, and a collaboration with Dennis Cartier on EGO, the label that signed tracks like Tamo Loco and Aguila by Hugel.
Matthew Sax performs DJ sets with live saxophone in his House/Tech House genre, creating a unique and highly engaging atmosphere.
