Pianist and composer Mattia Rugiano was born in Milan in 1998. He studied at the Conservatory Rossini of Pesaro, where he graduated with a thesis on Chopin. His musical activities are combined with mathematical studies at the University of Bologna.
In 2021 he released his debut singles for piano solo "Alice e Mattia" and "Distanza". His musical language is anchored to contemporary minimalism and tries to explore human inner reality, by reflecting impressions arisen not only from music works of art but from literature and figurative art as well.
