Maui

I've been producing music for 25 years and have been DJing regularly for just as long. So I've been doing this for quite a while. My first release was in 1994 with Jil Bee and was called "Magic". I then had a series of tracks released under DJ Maui. My studio partner and I also wrote and produced for other artists in the 90s like Fun Factory. We remixed the song "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" for "Modern Talking" in 1998, which sold well over 800,000 copies. In the same year I met the Spanish DJ and producer Jerry Ropero. We realised that we had a lot in common musically and quickly became friends. Together with the singer and songwriter Terri B! we founded the project Avantgarde and produced the single "Get Down" in the same year. The track was number one on the sales charts in several countries and was one of the most successful dance tracks in the USA in 1998.
In the last years I produced almost only electronic music, the success is not as important for me as it was back then.
The big hit is no longer my main goal, the fun of making music is now in the foreground, whether with friends or alone.
In 2015 I founded "Slippy Beats" and have already released over twenty singles under this pseudonym. I have also produced over 50 other tracks for numerous DJ's.
So I keep going because,
