MAURA NAVA is a Mexican singer and songwriter whose voice is often described as “angelic”, and her life story “soul-touching”.
Before landing a record deal with Universal Music Latin, Maura got her Bachelor’s of Music at a small university in Texas. Her love of classical music, paired with her ability to mix operatic technique with pop singing, got her the attention of the legendary maestro and producer Julio Reyes Copello. After discovering her online, Julio recruited Maura to study in his program ArtHouse Academy, which helped her transform from a vocalist into an artist.
Maura’s unique voice is not her only weapon. At only age 24, she was shaken by the near-death experience she had as a survivor of cardiac failure. In her own words: “It is only after crawling through the trenches of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing that I feel ready to share myself with the world”.
Not even a year into her career, Maura’s first song “A La Mitad”, which is part of the soundtrack for the Amazon Prime show “Zorro”, was nominated for two Latin Grammys as Song of the Year, and Best Pop Song of the Year.
Maura’s ultimate dream is to touch the hearts of her listeners and walk beside them in their own healing journey.
