MAURA NAVA is a Mexican vocalist and composer. She holds a Bachelors in Music from the University of the Incarnate Word, where she focused on classical singing and choral conducting. Maura was a choir director in Texas before her life was shaken after needing emergency cardiac surgery at the early age of 24. Months later, she was discovered online by the legendary maestro Julio Reyes Copello, and recruited to form part of the second generation of Artists at Art House Academy. Upon graduating, Maura signed her first record deal with Universal Music Latino and released her debut song, "A La Mitad," featured in the Amazon Prime series, Zorro.
Maura’s music focuses on blending her angelic vocal tone and Mexican folk ornaments with pop.
Her lyrics focus on important topics that reach straight into the heart: spirituality, and the fragility and beauty of the human experience.
In her own words:
"People say I have the voice of an angel,
but I know the pain of a human."
