Unadorned and nostalgic -yet peaceful- “What is Lost is Lost” is a short collection of songs that celebrate the beauty of details, memory, and the singularity of human relationships. With just three songs, this EP tries to reconcile two actions that are often considered opposite - holding on & letting go- by acknowledging that people and relationships are unique and cannot be replaced.
After the publication of two full-band recordings - “No Time for Heavy Hearts” (2018) and “Conceal” (2020)- Argentine folk singer-songwriter Mauro Meloni decided to leave Buenos Aires and release his most raw work up to date. The new EP was recorded just a few days before moving to Barcelona -where he is based now- in the middle of obligations and farewells, but the real urgency of these songs comes from the desire to start a new beginning that can contain the past self.
