Ntokozo Wandile Mawelele, known as Mawelele, is a singer-songwriter from Johannesburg, South Africa. Raised in the Vaal, he discovered his love for music at 11 when his father taught him piano. By 12, he was singing in church and performing in local groups.
Mawelele began writing and recording his own music, gaining recognition during the national lockdown with cover videos that caught the attention of Afro-pop stars Blaq Diamond.
