Max Agnas is a pianist from Stockholm, Sweden. His third album in his own name called "The More I Let the World In" comes out on the 26th of September featuring Salvador Sobral and Nils Agnas. In the album, Max does quite the opposite of trying to blend genres, which is so often done. Max locks himself in with pure, core ideas and starts to dig deeper and deeper with what he already has.
Max’s talent got recognized early on, for example winning the Fasching soloist prize as a twelve-year-old. He has gotten praise both from media and colleagues such as Larry Grenadier, Kevin Hays, Pat Metheny and Nils Landgren during his career.
Max is playing actively with his project, a couple of Stockholm-based projects such as his band with his three brothers called Agnas Bros and Salvador Sobral's band. Some notable performances include at Montreux Jazz Festival and the Scandinavian talk show called Skavlan.
"In a refined manner, Max Agnas plays with the tradition and is doing it in such a way that you can't help to start wondering how this is going to sound when Max approaches his 30s-40-50s..."
Lira, Timo Kangas
