Max Berg is an indie electronic solo artist from Southampton, UK. A purveyor of intricate detail and curious Electronic sounds, he uses his pianistic background as a foundation to his music, while also singing, playing the bass, guitar and using synthesisers, to further enrich his retro electronic productions .
Max writes and produces his own songs; his music is influenced by artists such as Radiohead, Massive Attack and TENDER. He aims to attract his audience using wonderful, haunting chords combined with a heavily spacey ambient feel.
Having played the piano since he was 6 years old, he grasped the opportunity to take a gap year when he was 18 to seriously focus on his music. The year was spent learning how to produce using electronic software culminating in the release of his debut EP. This signalled the beginning of Max’s musical journey as he released his first single ‘What is Real?’ in the early autumn. With a feature on BBC Radio Introducing Solent and a host of gigs coming up in late 2018, and 2019, Max Berg is surely one to watch.
