Max Besta is a 19-year-old songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. His sound uniquely draws from early 2000s indie and elements of ’90s alternative, all the way to modern-day twists on the folk-rock and singer-songwriter scene. He’s influenced by much more than the tracks he was raised on — his thoughts and emotions constantly spilling into new songs written in just minutes and fully produced within hours. Songwriting comes naturally to him, as it remains one of the few efficient ways he can communicate, understand himself, and be heard by others. His material is personal, vulnerable, and abstractly vague, yet intensely relatable and open to interpretation. Max is taking advantage of his youth to grow, stay spontaneous, and make any sacrifices necessary to create music that is timelessly remarkable — music that will carry him into many successful, artistic, and explorative years to come.
