Max Foreman, a seasoned LA-based artist and producer, takes a big leap with his latest single, 'Letter of Resignation.' The track is a sardonic ode to leaving a toxic work environment. Drawing from the brass arrangements of legends like Burt Bacharach and Stevie Wonder, Foreman brings his synth surrealism that intricately fuses funk and psychedelic rock as the backdrop to his adept storytelling.
Having co-founded the musical duo Bouquet, Foreman is no stranger to the indie music scene, having opened for acclaimed artists such as Fiona Apple, Mt. Eerie, and Ariel Pink. He now serves as the Director of Music Production at Occidental College, where he works alongside notable artists like Nite Jewel and Julia Holter. While Bouquet was the vehicle for incorporating his experimental music background from CalArts into popular song form, his solo work has a harder, angrier edge, with his universe of analog synths backed by a full band.
