Max P is the alter ego of Dutch songwriter producer and vocalist Harald Bruijstens (born December 5, 1971).
With a broad taste in music he has been in the center of many musical endeavors, from a hiphop crew in the 1980s to a live funkband and euro house projects in the 1990s. In the 2000s he started emceeing with his friend and d&b DJ Ramon, picked up producing dance music with DJ Garry and made remixes for Blank & Jones and Fragma (I need a miracle). Being the frontman of liveband Alize was probably the most suitable for Max P as lyricist and performing artist, combining his rap skills with his singing ambitions. In 2010 he quit his daytime job to pursue a career in music.
In the past decade he has made his mark on the Hardstyle music scene being the lyricist and/or voice on countless tracks with artists like Brennan Heart, Wildstylez, Zatox, Tatanka, Wild Motherfuckers, Mark with a K, Coone, Digital Punk, Adaro, Hard Driver, Sound Rush, The Prophet, and many more. Mostly working on the background as a songwriter and session vocalist and sometimes featuring as an artist, with a combined total of well over 300 million Spotify streams.
Tracks like ‘Lose My Mind’, ‘Just as Easy’ or ‘Wake Up’ have become everlasting classics in the scene. But also later tracks like ‘See me now’ or ‘Fight for Something’ have become memorable songs in the genre.
Max P is currently working on new solo material with a very personal touch.
