Maxeyy was born and raised in Charlotte NC, in a nice suburban town called Ballantyne, Maxeyy grew up playing sports football, basketball, baseball, and soccer briefly. Ultimately choosing football which he excelled in at Ardrey Kell high school making All Conference Honors, But he soon began finding himself losing interest in the game when a new interest took place which was Music. Maxey started to begin expanding his musical horizons as he found bands like Tame Impala and got into AC DC, Led Zeppelin, and Metallica. Maxeyy grew up on Drake and Lil Wayne but this music was a little new to him but he became a big fan of it and became awakened to music as a whole. These bands, especially Kevin Parker, influenced him to start recording himself.
