Maxim Nazarov is one of the creative forces behind the Moscow-based record label AVEC, along with his longtime partner-in-crime Alien Delon. He writes and produces music for several of his own projects, and also is involved in collaborations with artists such as Bill "GM2" Mattinson, Feel Gainsbourg, Poko Cox, Svetlana Mart, Santa Valentina, LAVA, Celebrine, Anthony Michael, Black Boyars, etc... His projects cover genres as diverse as pop, New Beat, Italo Disco, EBM and Happy Hardcore.
In the past, Maxim has made a name for himself as an A&R of AeroCCCP Recordings. and an initiator of a post-apocalyptic pop band Bazooka Boom. He has also contributed numerous runway soundtracks for fashion designers and created music for advertising, expos and contemporary art installations.
During his teens Maxim was hugely influenced by Moscow's radio Station 106.8 FM, which was the first one to focus on new electronic and dance music played by club DJs. In 1996 he moved to NYC, bought his first turntables and started collecting vinyl. His first debut as a DJ happened at an unauthorized teen party in Brooklyn. His first real DJ set was at London's infamous Trade nightclub at the age of 17. The rest is history.
