Dutch-born, Sydney-based producer Maxy Cozy makes an introspective debut with his new electronic EP. His music blends ambient textures, granulated sampling and chopped-up drums. Inspired by artists like Burial, Leon Vynehall and Traumprinz, his sound moves between UK Garage, IDM and downtempo, with a focus on creating feeling over perfection.
His latest EP GROWTH (out 20 June) brings together two tracks written years apart. One was started in 2021 and finished with fresh ears, while the other was created this year in response. The project reflects on creative momentum, personal growth, and the clarity that comes with time.
Outside the studio, Max co-runs event brand Dog Days, a platform for artists in the Sydney scene. His time is split between DJing, producing, and exploring other creative outlets through his graphic design work.
