Mayah Herlihy is a 15-year-old singer/songwriter from North Lanarkshire. She has been performing on the Scottish music scene since April 2019. Since then, Mayah has performed in various venues such as the iconic King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and The Classic Grand. She played many festivals during 2019 and had lots of bookings for 2020 that have been rescheduled. Mayah has also been writing her own songs since she was 12 and released her debut single ‘On My Way’ in January 2021. This reached the Number 1 position in The UK iTunes and Amazon Country Charts with articles from Aberdeen to Glasgow in The Press & Journal, The Daily Record, Evening Times and Glasgow Live, a radio interview and airplay from Kaye Adams on BBC Radio Scotland, a feature on BBC Scotland’s The Nine show and a letter from the MP David Linden (Glasgow East) who said he had played it in the Houses of Parliament after hearing of its success. Mayah has also performed in many pantomimes and theatre productions since the age of 7. She loves to be on stage performing and is working on more new music for future singles and hopefully an album and is looking forward to having a successful music career and playing many more gigs and festivals.
