Maynix

Maynix is a music producer from Napoli. His tracks mix glitchy sound design with heavy bass, jazz-flavoured chords, UK-garage swing and the off-kilter structures of classic IDM.

He debuted in 2019 with the 12-track album Trumours on Culprate’s label. The record moves freely between IDM, dubstep, ambient and future-jazz and was praised for its bold ideas.

In 2020 his single “Vapour,” draped bright jazz harmonies over half-time garage drums and granular glitches, proof of his knack for balancing club energy with headphone detail.

His latest release, the five-track Alienation EP (May 2025), covers glitch-step, UK garage, dubstep and drum-and-bass in just 22 minutes, blending hard-hitting low-end with glassy FM tones. Fans call it a whirlwind tour of modern bass styles that still shows his IDM roots.

By pairing dance-floor punch with experimental sound design, and drawing on influences that stretch from Pink Floyd and Radiohead to jazz greats, Maynix stakes out his own spot between legends like Four Tet and contemporary bass innovators such as Ivy Lab, pushing Italian electronic music in fresh directions.
