MAYonair (previously known as Mai Âm Nhạc) real name is Hoàng Hương Quỳnh Mai, born and raised in Hanoi. MAYonair - a rapper/singer/songwriter first started with ‘Mẩu chuyện đầu tiên’, ‘Chàng trai chào đời sau em’ brought her closer to the indie community in 2018.
MAYonair became publicly known after competing with other well-known rappers during Rap Viet season 2 and blew up the internet with her charisma together with pure talents in singing, composing and rapping. Later, MAYonair was able to prove her dancing skill by winning at Sàn Đấu Vũ Đạo Season 2 as the Finalist.
Though the stage name ‘Mai Âm Nhạc’ represented her peak time of entertainment career, Mai wanted to expose more of her Hip-hop attitude, then decided to take her music career to another level by changing her stage name to MAYonair, while MAY is her birth month and ‘on air’ emphasize on the meaning of soaring and breaking free from her comfort zone.
Proven by that, the hit ‘Siêu Phẩm Tình Ew’ has become one of the most phenonmenal events which ever took turn on her career.
In 2022, MAYonair released her first Rap/Hip-hop track ‘Đố A Bít’, debuted her first brand new image as a Hip-hop artist. In the same year, Mai released her first EP ‘1 tuần của M’, which turns out to be one of the most remarkable milestones in her music career.
