Mazwi Fortune

Mazwakhe Fortune Shinga (born February 10, 1989), better known by his stage name Mazwi fortune, is an African musician and Guitarist from Lamontville, Durban. He released his debut single titled “Aweh Mah” in 2017, which was a huge success that lad to his name being well known as a musical artist, also received high rotation on national radio stations known to be the biggest in the country. He went on to be a rapidly growing artist in the south African musical landscape under his current moniker, appearing on big live music concerts around the country. Mazwi served in the south African military service before his love for music took over as he is now a full-time musician.
Apart from his solo music career, Mazwi is also a portrait artist, a father to a daughter and an ambitious entrepreneur. Mazwi was born in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal in 1989. His mother and father are both of African ancestry. Mazwi came from an artistic and musical family with 4 siblings, he started singing as a church member at the tender age of six, Mazwi witnessed some estranged situations happening around him as a young man growing up in Lamontville, but regardless the Afro Soul Singer went on and said "I take a lot inspiration from motivational speakers and successful people, i apply some of their techniques to my own life to ensure effectiveness and growth”. Mazwi started making music in a studio owed by his friend “Maayina” who is now managing his music career.
