MC Hollar

Hello, Team Hollar! I'm Micheal Curtis Hollar, hence the "MC" Hollar stage name. I'm from Brockton, MA, which is right outside of Boston, MA. Yes, I still have my accent lol! I grew up in a family of 12, we lived in a (2) bedroom home with one bathroom, so we got close really quick. At 17 I joined the Marine Corps, at 24 I graduated from the United States Naval Academy, at 26 I started working at MIT/LL, and finally at 28, I began working at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, California. Why would I give that up for music? Good question! I am pursing my music now because, I lost my older brother in 2019. I took this job for the chance to pursue music and follow my dreams for him. He had an amazing voice and was the most vicious rapper I knew. As for me, well there's nothing special about me, I am just an honest, work working, coachable, flawed human being trying to do his best in an even more flawed world. My goal with my music is to have a positive impact on people and my goal is also, to not squander the gifts God has given me. If you're looking for some good music from a relatable guy that is still figuring it all out, look no further. It took me 29 years to come out as a pansexual, that means I am an equal opportunity employer in life and in love, although I am typically looking for love in all the wrong places.
