Marshall & Kellen are genre-defying composers and performers whose musical journeys span continents and disciplines. Marshall, raised amidst the classical drama of Topanga's Theatricum Botanicum, found his calling in composition after an early encounter with Beethoven's 5th Symphony. His studies took him to Germany, where he trained at conservatories in Trossingen, Mannheim, and Berlin, performing with esteemed orchestras like the Nationaltheater Mannheim and Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz. His orchestral debut, Uncontrollable Lust, commissioned by Yoel Gamzou, paved the way for works like a cello concerto for Emanuel Graf and Man Making Machine, premiered at the 2023 Beethoven Festival in Bonn.

Kellen, a Los Angeles native, is a Juilliard-trained violist, composer, singer, and author. With a Master's from The Royal Conservatoire of The Netherlands, his performances have graced international festivals including Banff, Aspen, and Lucerne. As a founding member of Babylon Quartet and viola duo Black Büyü, Kellen has garnered accolades like Het Grote Kammermusikprijs and featured in festivals such as Delft Chamber Music Festival and Grachtenfestival.

Together, Marshall & Kellen blend classical roots with contemporary innovation, crafting music that transcends boundaries and resonates with diverse audiences.
