Ever since I could talk, I remember singing. I grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina with my parents and sister. Music was always a part of our lives. I started writing songs when I was in sixth grade. I remember my biggest inspiration was Mariah Carey. I loved her voice the first time I heard “Vision of Love” and although my family loved music, they would not buy a lot of it for me. I remember on my birthday in 1991, I got enough money to buy her first and second albums on cassette. While singing along to the lyrics in the inlay, I noticed almost every song stated, “Lyrics by Mariah Carey”. That to me was monumental so I started writing too.

Initially recording songs on a dual cassette boombox and selling them at school. Oh, the memories. I really got started performing and recording in North Carolina.

In 2015, I released “Twerk” & most of the tracks were produced by DJ Redwine. Matthew is a great talent and has worked on every project I have released. The biggest track from that album was the title track. In 2017, I released the follow-up, “The Institution of Love”, which was produced by Matthew Redwine, Taylor Mixon, and Jadah Arrington. My latest album, the 2023, “Stereo”, has allowed me to write and produce every track except for a “All My Life I’ve Wanted You”, which was produced by DJ REDWINE. It’s a fusion of 80s and 90s Dance/House and 90s RnB.
