McRay is a young musician recognized as an active member of the Rebo Tribe.
A recording and performing Ghanaian Rapper born as Reuben Egyiri Buabeng, on September 6, 1995 and raised in Accra, Ghana.
With rap as his major talent, hiphop as his major genre and sleek verses on some favorite afrobeats / alternative songs, McRay holds a unique sound that defines him only.


McRay released his first digital single titled “Fire In The Rain” which was an open statement of how determined he was to pursue music as a career path, and gradually accumulated some social followings on SoundCloud & Audiomack. He followed up with a couple of freestyles and singles accompanied with visuals to engage his brand, gradually growing a fan base, then followed up with an Extended Play “Just Ray”(2019) in further pursuit of his musical career as a versatile musician. He released “BMW”(2020) his first afrobeats single featuring Kwame Yesu and King KLU and it was just right. He followed up with “BALLS”(2020), then “AMEN” came in as his first single of 2021, “ASEM ABA” came next, “@GHACEM” followed up.
The impact and recognition of his musical uniqueness landed him a playlist cover on Boomplay Music Ghana, a featured verse on Kofi Mole’s “Mole Monday Cypher, a verse on Team Backpack’s World Emcee Cypher which definitely was a 1UP for his career.
McRay is very particular about releasing timeless music and always delivers, expect more in the near future!
