MEATNOTE is the creative consequence of the minds of Thoreau Rodriguez and Brody Silver. Brody Silver was a prodigy piccolo trombone player before he broke both his hands in a fatal rowing accident making it impossible for him to play correctly, causing him to retire from the instrument. Thoreau Rodriguez is a retired shoe salesman focused now on catching fish and eating creamed corn. He played the triangle in a psychedelic rock group until they decided to become an AC/DC cover band, Rodriguez left immediately after hearing about the decision. The two met at an antique TV remote auction where they promptly decided to start a Progressive-Doo Wop-Reggae band with a former mutual friend Douglas "The Rug" Ferguson. Unfortunately when the recording for their first album was finished Douglas stole the recordings and disappeared into the endless sea of India never to be seen again. After hearing about the missing tapes, Silver and Rodriguez abandoned their families and moved to an unknown location in the forest. Rumor has it that Silver died from eating too many porcelain plates and bowls and was replaced with a lookalike that had nicer hair and a firmer face. Rodriguez and Silver finished their debut album THREE SMALL GIFTS in the wild after months upon months of speculation. Once the process was finished the two came back to civilization to give the files and recordings to the fine people at Zaphica Records, who were bribed into signing the duo. They have not been seen since.
