Mecca Wy'Asia was born in Virginia Beach, VA on December 27, 1995. Her parents are both seasoned musicians, that ironically met in a record store! At the age of 8 years old her father had her in the studio recording background vocals for him, and many other musicians. He was notorious for giving her multiple beats on a cd, and notebooks so she could exercise her writing skills. Ever since then she continued to use her gift, such as being involved in every school choir as well as church choirs, writing poetry as well as music. Once she got to high school she attended both The Governor's School for Arts in Norfolk, VA for vocal music and Princess Anne High School. Mecca's music would be described as everything. She likes to incorporate classical, hip hop, rnb, soul, pop etc. Her main goal is to inspire everyone to never settle for one genre! She believes that as long as Love is Love, and Music is Music, and if it FEELS good, then we can never go wrong with it. Be YOU.
