MEGA X

Tokyo-based band MEGA X is a megasonic pop band with a sound influenced by US indie/lo-fi punk from the 90s to the present, and strong yet sweet and sour harmonies between a female and two male vocalists. Guitar vocals, bass vocals, guitar, and drums. The four members have packed their favorite things into this tactile album, and the influences of WEEZER, The Muffs, Mates of state, WAVVES, BestCoast, Fastbacks, SHEER MAG, SUPERCHUNK, etc. can be felt in every corner of the performance, and the entire album is full of the same kind of music. The all-time good melodies that unfold over the course of the album are gripping.

東京をベースに活動をするバンド、MEGA X(メガ・エックス)は、90年代から現在に至るまでのUSインディー/ローファイパンクに影響を受けたサウンドと、女性と男性ふたりのボーカルによる力強くも甘酸っぱいハーモニーを放つメガソニック・ポップバンド。ギターボーカル、ベースボーカル、ギター、ドラム。メンバー4人の大好きなものを詰め込んだ手触り感溢れる本作は、WEEZER、The Muffs、Mates of state、WAVVES、BestCoast、Fastbacks、SHEER MAG、SUPERCHUNKなどの影響が端々に感じられる演奏、アルバム全編に渡り繰り広げられるオールタイム・グッドメロディに心を掴まされる。
