Megalichen is a 9-piece alternative-folk group from Glasgow.
Led by multi-instrumentalist front women Gem, their music is inspired by, and conveys, the beauty of the natural world, relationships to land and our connections to one another as humans. The band's instrumentation is a symbiotic mix of woodwind, guitar, bass, rhythms and vocal harmonies that weave together to create unique and beautiful songs.
Through Megalichen, Gem's vision is to create curious, compelling music that reaches and includes people, building a sense of togetherness in these troubling and divisive times.
