MehOne is a DJ, beatmaker, and curator with an insatiable love for music. Born and raised in Los Angeles, his journey began with a fascination for hip-hop samples, sparked in 1990 when he first heard Mentirosa by Mellow Man Ace on LA’s FM airwaves. Though his passion for hip-hop was once forbidden at home, he found ways to stay ahead of the latest sounds—recording songs off the radio, selling mixtapes to friends, and studying the art of sampling.
For MehOne, music is a puzzle—an endless search for connections between tracks, no matter the genre. Inspired by the crate-digging legends Cut Chemist, J.Rocc, and Nu-Mark, he developed a style rooted in deep digging, seamless blends, and sonic storytelling. His DJ sets and beat tapes reflect this philosophy, blending everything from golden-era hip-hop to cumbias, soul, and beyond.
His time behind the turntables sharpened his instincts, but his true passion lies in crafting beats—flipping samples, layering textures, and building soundscapes that bridge past and future. Whether DJing or producing, MehOne’s goal is the same: to move people, introduce them to new sounds, and keep the culture alive.
Currently, he hosts and curates We Dig LA on KQBH 101.5 FM. With his sights set on expanding his production catalog and making waves in the community radio scene, MehOne continues to dig, create, and elevate.
