Melanie Giselle

Melanie Giselle is a Uruguayan-New Yorker multifaceted musician and vocalist who experiences music with an open lens. She comes from a broad background of influences such as jazz, punk, blues, post-punk, tango, synth-pop and has played bass and guitar in bands (<a href="spotify:artist:1u443EU8ImV386nVIR0tLs" data-name="Ligeia">Ligeia</a> / <a href="spotify:artist:3iR1zT2Z3YsFvs1jSun68v" data-name="Intolerable Life">Intolerable Life</a> ) New York scene. Her transition to jazz vocals began after becoming enamored with the boundless nature of the genre, which took her to study formally in New York after performing as a solo artist in her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Melanie is now based in Manhattan where she performs her original songs, traditional Latin-American music and heart-felt interpretations of jazz standards around the city.
Melanie is the founder and bassist of the band <a href="spotify:artist:1u443EU8ImV386nVIR0tLs" data-name="Ligeia">Ligeia</a>, who&#39;s first EP will be out by September 2025.
Melanie is also the singer of <a href="spotify:artist:3prR4BcjSZIXfKeB8gQrFe" data-name="In The Future">In The Future</a>.
