Born in New Zealand and living in Australia, Melissa Hancock is the singer/songwriter for Melishah. Melissa started writing lyrics from the age of 14 and won a regional songwriting competition at the age of 15. After this, Melissa was in her first teenage band, Mudbelly, where she was the drummer.
Many years later, Melissa released two songs under the name of Sheree where she set free long awaited teenage written songs Obsession & Satin Flowers. During this time, Melissa then became a guest singer for Drift into Black for the album Dead Suns Under the Forever Moon Gone but Not Forgotten.
Melissa then started collaborating with Mitchell Mantell for her current single release through a new project, Melishah. Red Eyes is the start of many new songs to come! Whilst working on this project, Melissa was invited back to sing with Drift into Black for their new album Earthtorn on the songs The March to Oblivion, Angel of Doom & The Ups and the Downs.
Melishah is now the singer for Anger Overdose with her first release for the band 1999.
