Melissa Muther

Melissa is a freelancing musician and bandleader from Cologne, Germany.
She loves to live in a vibrant city, surrounded by a pulsating music scene.
She writes her own songs on her beloved guitar.
Yet her main instrument is her extraordinary deep and warm voice.

Influenced by Soul, R'n'B, Hip Hop, Pop and Jazz - a reminiscence to her time at the Jazz & Pop Conservatorium - Melissa calls her own music Melectric Soul, which hits peoples hearts directly, no matter if she's performing in her pure solo-setup - only touring with her electric guitar "Biggy" and some vocal effects, or with her outstanding four membered band.


This is where she's standing now, after having come a long way:
Being part of several musical projects in the past brought her to venues all over the world. Two bands have to be mentioned here, as she formed them and fed them with her songwriting and managing skills: the Acoustic Duo "Luftlinie 391" and her seven membered Neo Soul band "Mamood".

Musicians Melissa connects to: She fell deeply in love with the voice of Norwegian singer Beate Lech, known as Beady Belle. She loves the British singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas and adores artists like Nai Palm, Becca Stevens, Little Dragon, Kings of Convenience, Jordan Rakei, Heinz Erhart, Hildegart Knef, José James, Moonchild, Emily King, Allen Stone and Carole King.
