Melkowitz developed his songwriting and artistic expression as the frontman in Swedish band Amarillo star. They released their self-titled album “Amarillo star” in 2007, with songs like “1992” and “John, Elvis & me”.
In 2017, Melkowitz released his first single, “Fortaleza ft Charlie Berg”.
Melkowitz recorded the EP “Tasmanian tiger” together with guitarist and producer Viktor Buck. It contains 4 stories/4 songs, and was released in 2024. The sound is airy and dreamy, but always with a Nordic noir melancholy to it.
