Hailing from Trøndelag in Norway, MELLA is the alias of singer/songwriter and producer Kristin Mella Myhrvold. Over the past few years, she has extensively toured with the electronic trio “han gaiden”, receiving acclaim and a nomination for the Norwegian Grammys.
Starting in 2021, MELLA poured her heart into crafting her debut album “We Were Floating, Now We’re Drifting”, writing and recording all the material independently. The result is a profoundly melancholic album featuring powerful vocals and captivating soundscapes. Her varied musical approach also includes electronic elements and folk music influences, resulting in a truly distinctive sound.
