Marie Abou Khaled, known professionally as Melmo, is a singer, songwriter and producer from Lebanon. Her music is a blend of art pop and electronica, subtly infused with tarab sonorities. Born in Beirut to a family of journalists, she spent her childhood singing, and her teen years directing an a cappella choir she founded with a friend. With a master's degree in popular music, she is now taking her first steps as a solo act after having long been a part of Zeid and the Wings, among others. Her first single 'Kermelak', co-produced with Zeid Hamdan and featuring producers Marc Codsi and Jérémie Regnier received critical acclaim. She is currently working on a collaboration with Syrian bassist and producer Khaled Omran.
